The pressure that makes this sector move now.

Warehouse, fulfilment, and 3PL is not one homogeneous industry. What makes this attractive for physical AI is that much of the work is repetitive, structured, measurable, and spatially constrained. What makes it difficult is that the same building often contains radically different task types: standardized pallet moves, highly variable each-picking, ad hoc exception handling, and client-specific service work. Warehouse robotics therefore succeeds first where the physical task is repetitive and the process variation is constrained.
